Definition: Taiyi Shen Zhen, a herbal moxa is said to be used as Taoist healing methods. The mixture of Chinese herbal medicines and moxa floss are rolled into moxa cigar. The effects of herbal moxa are not only from moxa floss but also from the herbs. Therefore, the effect varies according to the function of certain herbs.
Formula 1: Basic Formula
Effect: Open Meridian Blockage, Move Blood Stasis and Phlegm, Expel Wind and Cold, Supplement Yang
Ai Rong, Moxa Floss
Ru Xiang, frankincense/Boswellia carteri
Mo Yao, Myrrh
Ding Xiang, Clove
Song Xiang, Rosin
Du Zhong, the bark of eucommia
Gui Zhi, cassia twig/ Ramulus Cinnamomi
Zhi Qiao, fructus aurantii
Zao Jiao, saponin
Xi Xin, asarum sieboldii
Chuan Xiong，Ligusticum wallichii
Bai Zhi, Angelica dahurica
Shi Chang Pu, Rhizoma Acori Graminei
Yu Jin, Curcuma Aromatica
Formula 2: Modification 1
Ren Shen and San Qi are added to supplement Qi and blood
